My name is Carissa Scott, I was born in PortIand, Oregon and have lived in Idaho since 1995. I am also married to Todd Scott, who is a wonderful and supportive dad and husband.
We have five grown girls and 4 amazing grandbabies . They are the inspiration behind the name Five Monkeys. We also have two fur

We have five grown girls and 4 amazing grandbabies . They are the inspiration behind the name Five Monkeys. We also have two fur babies. One dog and one cat.
We moved to Hammett, Idaho three years ago .Absolutely love the country life. It is so beautiful and hey there are lots of photo opportunities. I do run Five Monkeys Studio out of my home.
WHY PHOTOGRAPHY?
I fell in love with photography when I was 13 and was given my first camera. A 35mm roll camera given to me for my first trip to California. I fell in love with capturing and freezing TIME,in such a way that it evokes the same feelings years later. I also love the freedom and creativity being behind a camera gives me ..since then I have shot wildlife, and landscape photos, children and lifestyle, maternity, senior/grad photos. Pretty much anything.
My favorite type of photography is children's lifestyle photos. It's those candid moments that become treasured and often looked back upon with such fondness. That's what I want to do for my clients.

For starters I do not charge by poses or by outfits. Second is patience. To me
patience is the key. Every photo session is around 2 hours long and this includes what I like to call down time.

I do not force baby into poses. My number one job is to keep your child safe and comfortable.

each session starts off with 2 hours but sometimes this can go over. Lets face it children can be unpredictable at times; because I understand this I recommend that you try
to keep that day clear of any other plans if you can.

I also give every client a welcome packet. Inside this welcome packet is a questionnaire that will help keep the session running as smoothly as possible. If you have any questions feel free to ask.
